A Girl in the Sun
A Girl in the Sun
ORIGINAL PAINTING ON CRADLED PANEL
Acrylic with vintage collage
24x24x1 in.
"A Girl in the Sun" was the title of an article in a 1947 Seventeen magazine. The page was just one of many vintage papers collaged into the initial layers, full of subtle markings and shadowy shapes. Not black, but a soft, faded indigo provides the background for a glowing botanical shape. White edges make this piece float. Unvarnished with an overall matte sheen, but may be waxed for a more protected and satin finish.
